Hexagonal wire mesh have same size of the hexagonal hope. It’s material is mainly low carbon steel. According to different surface treatments, hexagonal wire mesh can be divided into two types: galvanized wire and PVC coated wire. The wire diameter of the galvanized hexagonal wire mesh from 0.3 mm to 2.0 mm, and the wire diameter of the PVC coated hexagonal net from 0.8 mm to 2.6 mm. Hexagonal wire mesh with good flexibility and corrosion resistance is widely used as a stone cage for protecting slopes. According to different applications, the hexagonal net can be divided into chicken wire mesh and diagonal retaining wire (or gabion net), the former has a smaller mesh.
