How to clean the metal mesh coffee filter
Metal mesh coffee filters mean you don't have to use disposable paper filters. They can also improve the taste of the coffee because they do not absorb spices or oils from the ground. Some filters are non-ferrous stainless steel, while others are gold-plated on stainless steel mesh. The acid in the coffee will damage the filter over time, so clean the filter every time you use it.
Shake the used ground out of the filter and put it in the trash can. Use your fingers or other non-abrasive objects to remove as much of the ground as possible.
Rinse the residue and residue remaining in the filter with hot water.
Spray a small drop of dishwashing detergent directly onto the filter. Use a non-abrasive sponge to scrub the inside and outside of the filter.
Rinse the soap residue in the filter with hot tap water.
Place the filter in the dish rack to air dry. After drying, put the filter back in the coffee machine.
